What belongs in a partnership brief?

Six questions that turn a concept into a useful partnership conversation.

Start with the idea

Describe what will happen and what it makes possible. “Four practical digital skills workshops” gives a partner something more concrete to assess than “an impactful community event.”

Know your community

Explain who participates, where they are and the relationship you have with them. Date historical metrics, label estimates and keep future targets separate.

Make the plan and ask clear

Include timing, a partner decision deadline, location, capacity and the specific support you need. Separate cash from in-kind contributions and confirmed support from possibilities.

Explain the value and evidence

Describe deliverables, realistic quantities and how you will measure results. Include relevant work examples and the questions you still need to resolve.
